k-z i guess u should know, since ya already stated that here, but hp that mages get with the talents is not gettin' buffed

How come they're not getting buffed?
lol
Of course they are...

Ofc no, at level 148 (985 hp), with 50 talents wasted for durability (150 hp).
-> Full Hp -> 985 +150 = 1135
-> Buffed Hp -> not 1135 * 1.4 = 1589, but 985 * 1.4 + 150 = 1529

Formula of 'Fortitude Growth' is wrong, now it is: Full Hp * 1.4 + Durability Hp, insted of (Full HP + Durability HP) * 1.4

Woooooow.
That needs to be fixed ASAP!
I reallt thought they were working due to the fact I was tanking a 113 Shaman with my lvl 36 pyromancer(530hp with all points) at warzone during test server.
Sorry

Quoting K-Zodron:

It is true that a low level mage will not get much use from aggression, but this is the case for pretty much all the classes. Note that aggression applies to all your attack spells, not just your wand.

By default the chance to make a critical hit is 1%. Since each point increases it by 0.5pp, it goes up like 1.5%, 2.0% etc. If it was % instead of pp, it would be 1%, 1.01%, 1.02% etc. That's the reason they increase with percentage points instead of percent.

Damage is by default 100%, and +0.5% and +0.5pp on 100% are both 100.5%, so it makes sense to use percentage here instead of percentage points.

Hope you understand my explanation!

I understand your explanation, its good to for me that i asked the question first before using my talent points.
i understand its not only my damage by wand, but all damage i do even if i use a sword as a mage.

But now comes the tricky part, and thats the fortification points. in the begin post you mension that our defence is lowerd by 15% to compensate the overpowering of the fortification points. but the formula for this can go two ways now.

defence was: 100%, - 15% (the reduction) = 85%, each talent point increase with 0.5% over ??? the 85%, 100% or is the 85% now the startpoint and can we count that as 100%.

so will it be:
1: 100% + (100% - 15%) * 0.5% for each point
2: 85% + 100% * 0.5% for each point
3: 100% + 100% * 0.5% for each point (lets say that the def -15% is now the startpoint, the 100%)

I think i go for option 1, but you can also lowered the base with 15% so you get three. the 3e option is slightly better than option one because the base points ar higher.

please let me know please.

Quoting K-Zodron:

Mages have buff spells that will increase their health by a certain %, making their 3 health points approximately as valuable as 5 health points for a warrior or a ranger in battle.

As for that the posts above here describe different, the formula is not correct, but this is a spell, barbarians have the frenzy spell that works with the life also, why can the profit from the 5 health than and not 4 for them, warriors and rangers get +5 life and mages +3 my question was as replayed above here why not mages +7 or +8 mana? so you compensate them for the less life they get.

Its not that i need it, but its maybe a bit more fair, and yes i am a mage...

as far for the talent points, this was all i think.
Thx for the last reply it was really helpful.

Pyro and warlocks buffs work the other way. Because our buffs decrease percentage amount of damage not adding hp. So its okay for pyros and warlocks. Changes will only add shamans 60hp which is fair

@K-Z;
1. I agree with Tatis's statement about the mana gain with Spirituality. Why not 5+ mana for warriors/rangers and like 8+ mana for mages, for example?

Regarding Tartarus:
I know you've been a lot busy with these update feedbacks, the Osvald supposed problems, the crashes and lags at Tipitaka along with other stuff, but talking about Tartarus, you said that it's likely that Osvald will be introduced there within November.
Now I ask you, is there any highly detailed preview concerning Osvald on Tartarus?!?
Everybody is pretty excited with this Talents update, but there are still people that refuse to play there because of the unexistence of Osvald Tasks, one example is the player Tartarus, so:

1. Any detailed preview about Osvald implementation there? like in 3 weeks, 2 weeks, 4 weeks?
2. How might the Osvald work there? Is there any possibility of having Experience rewards FOR KILLING TASKS ?
3. Will Collect tasks work for Training/Cash rewards?
4. Will training rewards work for distance/melee/defending only or Magic level will also be an option?

Thank you for your patience, I know you're really busy, but please answer these questions, even if the answer is "It is too soon yet to give any further information about it" or something like that :(
Peace.

Whenever you can give an answer,we know you busy..this is just to bump up so it ain't far last on the treath..thank you k-z.

Training rewards are now vastly improved. You will receive 20 hours of training for a short task, 40 hours of training for a medium task and 60 hours of training for a long task. An additional bonus of 10% or 20% for medium and hard tasks, respectively, are added ontop of the training times. After receiving the training from Osvald, your character will be exhausted from ALL types of training for the next 20, 40 or 60 hours, depending on the length of the task completed.

I am not getting the extra 10% or 20% for doing medium and hard tasks when choosing training as a reward. Each time he only gives me 60 hrs no matter what. I don't think this feature is working properly. I have been doing the training on my alt char, I hope you can check this out and fix it. Thanks K-Z
